How to Make a Rug from Cored Yarn Without a Loom!
Tunesian Crochet Primer by Rachel Boucher, Rach-Al-Paca Fiber Processing

Class time 11-12:30 (We may add another if there is enough interest)
Minimum class size: 3 students
Maximum class size: 10 students

Class cost is $75, and includes a bump of rug yarn large enough to make a floor mat.
Crochet hooks will be available for use, and purchase if you decide you love this craft.

Love those super-thick cored yarns, but don't have a loom to weave them?
Fear not! Armed with a jumbo Tunesian crochet hook, you'll learn how to make one in about an hour!
You will learn how to cast on, the simple stitch, and cast off.
Information on further exploring the 'afghan stitch' will also be handed out, so you can explore advanced stitches on your own outside of class.

Rachel fell in love with weaving these amazing yarns several years ago, and discovered tunesian crochet as a way of making rugs more portable to make. She can often be seen at fiber festivals holding a large stick.

Turn Odds and Ends of Yarn From Your Stash Into a Beautiful Coiled Basket with Judy Goebel

Class Time: 1pm to 3:30pm

Minimum students: 3
Maximum students: 8

Cost of class per student: $35

Most of us have a stash of special yarn. Perhaps you have learned to spin. Maybe you bought that wonderful single ball from the clearance bin at the yarn shop. Perhaps it is left over from a project. Or a friend gave it to you. Make those yarns into a coiled basket. This is an easy and inexpensive technique that gives special yarn an opportunity to become an integral part of a useful and beautiful object.

You will need to bring to class:
- A large tapestry needle
- At least 100 yards of medium to bulky weight yarn. Multiple, harmonious colors in shorter lengths are fine.
- 3 spring-type clothespins
